Tiyani Mashimbye

Tiyani Mashimbye is an experienced project officer currently working with Save the Children South Africa since August 2019, specializing in capacity building and providing technical support on issues related to children affected by migration and displacement. Previously, Tiyani served as a community liaison officer at Anova Health Institute from 2016 to August 2019, focusing on monitoring and improving care adherence for TB/HIV patients. Tiyani's experience also includes a development assistant role at Women Development Business Trust from August 2014 to December 2015, where responsibilities included stakeholder research, client selection, and training facilitation. Additionally, Tiyani worked as a community development practitioner at the Department of Social Development from August 2010 to July 2011. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Gender Studies from the University of South Africa (expected March 2024), a Higher Certificate in Project Management from MANCOSA (2018), and a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Development from the University of Venda (2010).
