Chris Parker has a diverse work experience in the field of evidence and learning, program management, research, and social policy. Currently, they work at Save the Children UK as the Head of Evidence and Learning. Prior to this, Chris held the position of Senior Evidence and Learning Adviser at the same organization, supporting their work in the UK. Chris also worked as a Programme Lead at Crisis from 2020 to 2021. Chris has experience working with government-funded programs, such as the Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer, where they served as a Senior Active Inclusion Officer at Newcastle City Council. In this role, they focused on service transformation, mapping the homelessness prevention system, and leading co-design processes. Chris has also worked at Northumbria University as an Associate Lecturer, Research Assistant, and PhD student, focusing on issues of homelessness, social exclusion, and criminology. Prior to this, they worked at Crisis as the Volunteering and Christmas Coordinator and at North Tyneside Council as a Researcher.

Chris Parker completed their education at Northumbria University. Chris obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Criminology from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography, specializing in Social Geography. Before attending university, Chris Parker attended Heaton Manor School.
