Louise Leahy is a Senior Resource Analyst at Savion. Louise has over twenty years of experience working in the field of renewable energy, solar power, and data management.
Louise began their career as an Administrative Assistant at the London Universities Purchasing Consortium in 1993. Louise quickly rose through the ranks and became an Executive Assistant at the University of Roehampton in 1998.
In 2002, Louise moved to the United States to pursue their graduate degree in renewable energy at the University of Washington. While at UW, they worked as a Research Assistant and helped produce several Solar Energy Assessment Reports. After graduating with their Master’s degree in 2012, Louise took a position as a Renewable Energy Data Management Specialist at 3TIER by Vaisala.
In 2014, Louise joined Vaisala as a Solar Resource Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for producing Solar Energy Assessment Reports, quality control of solar observational data, and analyzing satellite-derived data sets. Louise left Vaisala in 2020 to join Savion as a Senior Resource Analyst.
Louise Leahy has a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington, an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington, and a B.Sc. in Meteorology from the University of Reading.
They work with Gordon May - Director, Energy Resource Assessment, Katie Mackin - Director, Procurement, and Samantha Parks - Project Manager. Louise Leahy reports to Gary Parker, VP, Engineering, Procurement & Construction.
