In 1988, they enrolled at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, specializing in Computing Science Technologist, and completed their studies in 1989. Hank Carr also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2 in April 2018, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from GIAC in March 2014, and Core Impact Certified Professional (CICP) from Core Security Inc. in May 2012.
