Michael Vogel

Michael Vogel has a diverse work experience in the education industry. Michael has worked in various roles and organizations, focusing on curriculum development, research management, instructional consulting, and teaching. Their most recent position was as a Digital Content Manager for Savvas Learning Co, where they supported a math editorial team in developing a tablet-based curriculum aligned to the Common Core. Prior to that, they worked for Pearson North America as a High School Grade Span Lead and Senior Digital Editor, where they developed teacher and student content for a tablet-based curriculum. Michael also has experience as a Research Manager at Empirical Education Inc., where they managed research projects evaluating instructional programs. Additionally, they worked as an Education Consultant for McGraw Hill, BetterLesson, Edmodo, and Revolution Prep, contributing to various projects and creating high school mathematics content. Michael has also worked as a Learning Analyst at UCSF, an Education Research Intern at WestEd, a Mathematics Instructor at San Jacinto College, and a Research Assistant at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Houston. Michael started their career as a High School Mathematics Teacher at KIPP: Houston High School and Asociacion Escuelas Lincoln. Throughout their roles, Michael has demonstrated a strong passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality instructional materials.

Michael Vogel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Reed College, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Michael later pursued further education and earned a Master's of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston, attending from 2008 to 2010. Michael then continued their academic journey and completed a Master's of Arts degree in Education from Stanford University, studying from 2010 to 2011.
