Ken Sawyer

Ken’s entrepreneurial experience dates to when he and his wife, Liz, started the first of six businesses in 1973, and he has used that experience to help Sawyer Solutions thrive. Under Ken’s leadership, Sawyer Solutions was named Small Business of the Year by the Greater Shelby Chamber of Commerce in 2018 and 2021 and one of the 30-fastest growing companies in Birmingham in 2018.

Ken graduated from Samford University and constructed the first TV production facility at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama, where he also received a Master’s in education. Ken also earned a Master’s in engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Away from the office, Ken is active in the Greater Shelby Chamber of Commerce and has served various leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America. His service and dedication to the Boy Scouts earned him the organization’s Silver Beaver Award.
