Zoli Szucs

Zoli Szucs has extensive work experience in the field of software development. They started their career as a Contract Full Stack PHP Developer, building custom web applications for various clients. They worked on MVC frameworks such as Kohana and CodeIgniter, implementing authentication, access control, control panels, and eCommerce functionality. They also worked on redesigning and adding new features to existing web systems.

Afterward, Zoli worked as a Backend Developer for Saratoga Wine Exchange, where they migrated the system of managing wine inventory from MS Access to a custom PHP/MySQL app. They improved the system by adding special pricing options, generating SEO data for each wine, and accurately tracking which distributor's wines are available on the web store.

Next, Zoli joined Dealicio.com LLC as a Full Stack Developer, contributing to the development of a customizable daily deal platform built on the CakePHP MVC framework. They integrated various payment gateways and third-party APIs such as Twitter, Google Offers, and BigTip, enhancing customer reach.

Zoli then joined Wobo Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed web applications using the LAMP stack with a focus on the Symfony framework. They worked on tools for online book sourcing and data gathering, as well as a customer-facing portal for managing purchase lists of books. They were involved in backend work, scripting, report generation, API development, and some UI work using javascript, jQuery, and CSS.

Later, Zoli became a Senior Software Engineer at Follett, working on the Follett Marketplace suite of products. They contributed to both API and front-end development using Groovy/Grails, React, and Angular.

Zoli also worked as a Backend Engineer at Canada Drives, where they primarily worked on the backend of a car purchasing app. They updated REST/GraphQL endpoints, integrated multiple Shopify endpoints, and updated search filters. They wrote extensive automated tests in PHPUnit.

Currently, Zoli holds the position of Senior Full Stack Developer at SAXX.

Zoli Szucs attended Mohawk College from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Diploma in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering.
