M.D. Surwar Rashed

Md. Surwar Rashed has extensive work experience in the banking sector. Md. Surwar is currently working as a Credit Risk Manager & Assistant Vice President at South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce Bank Limited since July 2022. Previously, they worked at Meghna Bank Limited as a Risk Manager & First Assistant Vice President from March 2021 to June 2022, and as a Risk Manager-CRM & Senior Principal Officer from January 2018 to February 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at IFIC BANK Limited, including Relationship Officer & Principal Officer, Credit Analyst & Senior Officer, and Probationary Officer. Md. Surwar also worked as a Probationary Officer at Uttara Bank Limited and had a brief stint at IOM - UN Migration as a DEA.

Md. Surwar Rashed completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Md. Surwar pursued this degree from 2007 to 2008.

Prior to their MBA, Md. Surwar Rashed obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), also with a focus on Marketing, from the same university. Md. Surwar completed their BBA program from 2003 to 2007.

Furthermore, in 2000-2001, they attended Comilla Victoria Govt College, where they pursued their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) with a field of study in Business Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Md. Surwar Rashed has obtained two certifications. In 2019, they obtained the Certified Expert in Credit Management (CECM) from the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management. Previously, in 2014, they completed their Junior Associate of Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (JAIBB) certification offered by the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh.
