Bård Aase

Bård Aase is a DevOps Engineer at Sbanken since December 2018, focusing on migrating the organization to the Cloud using Kubernetes on Azure and employing GitOps practices. Bård has been actively involved in the Bergen Linux User Group as a meeting organizer since 2010 and served as a board member for Syklistenes Landsforening Bergen og Omegn from February 2012 to October 2020. Previous experience includes working as a systems developer at Vizrt, where Bård contributed to online video transcoding and delivery systems from March 2009 to November 2018, and as a web content enabler at Umoe IKT from January 2008 to March 2009. Additional roles include software engineer at Voop, where responsibilities included developing intranet services and customer relations software, and leading the IT department at Det Akademiske Kvarter. Bård holds a BS in Information Technology from the University of Bergen, achieved during studies from 2002 to 2006.
