Pavel Vasilyev

Pavel Vasilyev is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the finance and investment banking sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at Sberbank CIB since October 2012, Pavel is responsible for developing the asset side business of the Sberbank Group, specializing in structured notes, structured deposits, and domestic structured bonds, while also leading Sberbank's Securitisation Business with a team of six professionals. Prior to Sberbank, Pavel worked as a Director at VTB Capital, where Pavel structured liability and asset side transactions and played a crucial role in the launch of Russia's first domestic structured bond platform. Pavel's career commenced at Renaissance Capital, where as a Director, Pavel focused on tax-efficient structuring of transactions and the development of the bank's REPO franchise. Pavel also held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Tax Consultant and Tax Manager, advising financial institutions on Russian tax law and cross-border investments. Pavel holds a degree in International Law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
