Chris Slater

Chris Slater has a diverse work experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently, they work as a DoD Integration and Business Development Consultant at SBIR Advisors Inc. In this role, they are responsible for providing consultation on business development and integration strategies.

Prior to this, Chris served in the United States Air Force for over two decades. Chris'sroles in the Air Force include Chief of Construction Flight, Lead PCO, and Active Duty Contracting Officer/Specialist. As Chief of Construction Flight, they led a team of 18 members in managing an $90M construction portfolio that supported $6.4B in infrastructure. Chris also served as a Lead PCO and actively contributed to the acquisition process.

Furthermore, Chris honed their acquisition skills during their time as an Active Duty Contracting Officer/Specialist. Chris had extensive experience with AFSPC, PACAF, and AFMC, and had completed 4 joint theater deployments. Additionally, they served as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist earlier in their career.

Chris Slater has an extensive education history. In 2004, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Aircraft Armament Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. In the same year, they also earned another AA degree, this time in Contracts Management, from the same institution. Moving forward, in 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University. Continuing their education, they then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Acquisition & Contracts Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2017.

In addition to their academic achievements, Chris also holds several certifications. In April 2019, they obtained the "Unlimited Contracting Officer Warrant" from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center. Chris also achieved the "DAWIA Contracting Level III" certification from the United States Department of Defense in January 2018.
