Kevin Landtroop

Kevin Landtroop has a diverse work experience in various roles related to defense innovation and technology. Kevin is currently the Chief Growth Officer at SBIR Advisors Inc., where they develop partnerships and designs programs to support emerging technology startups accessing DoD R&D programs. Kevin is also a University Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching the Hacking for Defense course which focuses on applying design thinking and lean methodology to solve national security problems. Kevin is a Course Instructor for Hacking for Defense® as well.

In their previous roles, Kevin served as a Startup Mentor and Member of the Board of Advisors at Capital Factory, where they also held the position of Vice President for Defense Innovation, managing operations and strategic priorities related to defense innovation. Kevin was also the Managing Director at Grayline Group, connecting innovators with defense opportunities.

Kevin co-founded the Texas Defense Innovation Forum, a non-profit organization that supports the defense innovation enterprise in Texas through education, networking, and business development opportunities. Kevin was also a Senior Director at SparkCognition Government Systems, an AI company focused on federal government and national security missions. Additionally, Kevin provided legal services as an Attorney and Principal at Landtroop Legal Advisors, and they founded Overmatch Materiel Advisors, a consulting firm connecting emerging tech with DoD customers.

Kevin Landtroop received their Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1998. Kevin then went on to earn their J.D. with Honors from The University of Texas School of Law from 2002 to 2005.
