Brian Anderson

SVP, EHS & Risk at SBM Management Services

Brian Anderson is the current Senior Vice President of EHS & Risk at SBM Management Services. Prior to their current position, Brian served as Regional EHS Manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers from April 2008 to August 2009. In this role, Brian was an integral member of the corporate EHS management team that designed, built, and implemented key elements of the company-wide EHS program for multiple dry grocery, perishable, and frozen regional distribution centers in a heavily unionized environment. Brian also achieved "best in company" injury rate and workers compensation cost reductions across all of their facilities in the NY Metro market that they directly managed.

Before their time at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Brian served as Corporate EHS & Loss Control Manager at Wakefern Food Corp. from February 2004 to April 2008. In this role, Brian was responsible for managing the operations of the company and also led the EHS/Risk management team.

Prior to their time at Wakefern Food Corp., Brian served in operations management and EHS/Risk leadership roles at Clinton Manufacturing and Distribution from April 2001 to February 2004.

Brian Anderson has a field in Occupational Safety and Health from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Brian also has a field in Psychology from Thomas Edison State University. Brian has certification from Rutgers School of Public Health in Construction Industry Safety and Health Specialist Certificate (OSHA Region 2 AOTC)). Brian also has certification from Rutgers School of Public Health in General Industry Safety and Health Specialist Certificate (OSHA Region 2 AOTC). Anderson has certification from OSHA region 2 AOTC NJ/NY Hazardous Materials Worker Training Center in Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Specialist Certificate. Brian is certified by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) in Global Safety Management. Anderson is also certified by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) in Executive Program in Safety Management. Brian is certified by ASQ Human Development and Leadership Division in LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt (project completed). Brian Anderson is also certified by the NEW JERSEY STATE SAFETY COUNCIL in Forklift Train the Trainer.
