Ary Maharaj

Ary Maharaj is an experienced counsellor and facilitator focused on mental health and eating disorders. Currently serving as a Counsellor at Hard Feelings and a Facilitator at Sheena's Place, Ary provides low-cost counselling and leads workshops addressing issues like racism and body image. As the Outreach & Education Coordinator for the National Eating Disorder Information Centre, Ary coordinates educational outreach and develops strategies for raising awareness about eating disorders. Ary has a background in research, having held positions as an Institutional Researcher and Co-Investigator, and contributes to the sports journalism field as a Staff Writer and Moderator for SB Nation. Ary holds a Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and a Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Toronto Scarborough.
