Andy Almenara

Andy Almenara has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Andy started their career in advertising as a Sales Associate at Nationwide Print Advertising in 1996. From there, they worked as an Account Manager at Comcopy before transitioning into the role of Client Services Manager and later General Manager at The Shooting Star Picture Company. In 2002, Andy became a Project Manager at Servcorp, where they stayed until 2004. Andy then moved to Alphawest as a Project Manager for two years before joining Getronics in 2006. At Getronics, Andy held various positions including Senior Project Manager and PMO Lead/Senior Consultant, where they were responsible for establishing Center of Excellence functions and providing project delivery advisory consultation. In 2011, Andy joined DXC Connect as the Head of Project Management Office (PMO) and later took on the role of Head of Managed Services (acting). Andy then worked as a Principal Consultant at PM-Partners group before becoming a Leadership Development Coach at Influence. Most recently, Andy has been serving as the Head of Project Management Office (PMO) at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia since 2017.

Andy Almenara completed a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney, from 1996 to 2000. In 2015, they also completed a Course in Mentoring at TAFE NSW. Furthermore, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Sydney from 2015 to 2018. In terms of certifications, they obtained the following: Agile PM Practitioner from APMG International in January 2016, MSP Advanced Practitioner (Managing Successful Programmes) from APMG-International in December 2010, P3O Practitioner (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) from APMG-International in February 2010, PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in December 2009, and Prince2 Practitioner from APMG-International in April 2008. Additionally, they obtained the Standard Mental Health First Aider certification from Mental Health First Aid Australia in October 2019.
