Simon Nestor

Simon Nestor is an experienced risk management professional currently serving as Senior Manager Risk at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia since September 2023. Previously, Simon held various roles at MLC Life Insurance, including Head of Support Teams Risk Partnering and Senior Risk Manager, from July 2019 to December 2022. Prior to that, Simon was Operational Risk Manager at ClearView Wealth Limited and Manager of Group Operational Risk at Commonwealth Bank, where responsibilities included enhancing and implementing the Operational Risk Management Framework. Simon began a solid foundation in banking supervision as a Senior Analyst at APRA from February 2009 to February 2016. Simon holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and dual degrees in Arts and Commerce from the University of Sydney, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Boston University and a Certificate IV in Life Insurance from Kaplan Professional.
