Derek Marcial

Derek Marcial is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in product management and engineering across various industries. Currently serving as the Group Head of Product and Engineering at both SBX Cars and SB Media Group since March 2025, Derek previously held the position of Director of Product Management at NEXT Trucking, leading the development of the core Carrier experience. With experience as a Principal Product Manager at Airbnb, overseeing a significant portfolio of luxury properties, and as VP of Product and other key roles at Getaround, Derek has consistently contributed to the growth and innovation of product lines. An earlier career includes leadership positions at Outspark, Kadium, and IMVU, along with a solid foundation in engineering beginning with early roles at Loquendo and Phoenix-Pop Productions Inc. Derek holds degrees from The George Washington University, Penn State Great Valley, and the University of Delaware.
