Amanda Williams possesses a comprehensive background in health services management and policy. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy and Communications at the SC Department of Health and Human Services since February 2014, Amanda has also held roles as the Director of the Division of Coverage and Benefit Design and Program Manager II in Health Services, where responsibilities included leading a policy team and acting as the technical expert for hospital policy within the Department's Office of Health Programs. Prior experience includes serving as the MHA Program Manager at the University of South Carolina, focusing on health services policy and management education, and managing planning and system development at Palmetto Health, where Amanda oversaw Certificate of Need applications and the corporate strategic plan. Amanda holds a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both from the University of South Carolina.
