Head Of Business Improvement And Business Control at SCA

Katarina Kolar has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies within the SCA Group. Katarina began their career as a Research Engineer at SCA Research in 1986. Katarina then moved on to SCA Östrand Pulp Mill as a Research Engineer from 1996 to 1998. Following this, they joined SCA Ortviken Paper Mill where they held roles as a Development Manager Coated Products from 1998 to 2002 and as a Process Engineer from 2002 to 2006.

In 2007, Katarina joined SCA Graphic Sundsvall AB, where they worked as a Production Manager for the LWC1 production line from 2007 to 2009. Katarina was then promoted to the role of Production Manager for Ortviken Paper mill, overseeing the entire paper production with a staff responsibility of 350 persons from 2009 to 2012.

Moving further in their career, Katarina joined SCA - Hygiene and Forest Products Company in 2012. Here, they served as a Project Director for an profitability improvement program across the business unit from 2012 to 2015. Katarina was also a Program Director for Health and Safety Culture development from 2016 to 2020. This program aimed to foster a culture of health and safety and involved changing behavior and mindset within the company.

Additionally, Katarina has been involved with INVESTERA MITTSVERIGE AB (SVB) as a Board Member from 2017 to 2019.

Katarina is currently working at SCA as the Head of Business Improvement and Business Control since October 2020, where they are responsible for driving improvements in business processes and controls. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2020, Katarina served as the Sustainability Director for the SCA Group, leading their sustainability initiatives and contributing to a sustainable future through responsible forest management and renewable product production.

Katarina Kolar completed their education at various institutions. First, they attended Chalmers University of Technology from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering, specifically a Master of Science (MoSc). Later, Kolar enrolled in the Chefakademin from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued an eMBA (Executive Master of Strategy and Finance). Additionally, they participated in the RuterDam Chefsutveclingsprogram, although the specific years and degree earned are unknown.
