Naser Botrus, M.Eng, P.Eng has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and network engineering. Naser started their career at Pyramids Computer Center in 1993, where they designed and administered Windows NT networks, fixed computer issues, and provided customer support. Naser then worked at Qmark Technologies Inc. as a Network Support Engineer, handling Cisco and Unix administration and troubleshooting. At Lavalife, they served as a Network Engineer, managing data, ISP circuits, and VoIP networks, implementing encryption for the company's website, and acquiring AS number and IP space for product migration.
Naser then joined Trillium Health Partners as a Senior Network Engineer, where they managed LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure, and played a key role in various projects such as network migration and data center consolidation. At Express Scripts Canada, they worked as a Sr. Network Engineer, responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting core network systems. Naser also advised on system integration and reviewed proposed system changes.
Afterwards, Naser joined CGI as a Senior IT Consultant, overseeing WAN and LAN network infrastructure across multiple locations. Naser managed two data centers, implemented disaster recovery site, and worked with various networking equipment, including Cisco switches and routers, F5 load balancers, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
In their most recent role at Scalar Decisions, Naser worked as a Sr. IT Consultant, specializing in F5 projects. Naser designed, deployed, and configured F5 BIGIP LTM, GTM/DNS, APM, and ASM, and handled tasks such as assessing F5 BigIP systems, configuring GTM/DNS solutions, setting up ASM policies for application security, and implementing APM multi-factor authentication.
Throughout their career, Naser has demonstrated expertise in networking technologies, software integration, project management, and system administration.
Naser Botrus, M.Eng, P.Eng has a strong educational background in computer engineering and computer networks. Naser completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Assiut University from 1988 to 1993. Later on, they pursued a Masters of Engineering degree in Computer Networks at Ryerson University from 2001 to 2003.
