Annie Dong

Annie Dong is a seasoned professional in the field of applied research and data science with extensive experience across various companies. Currently serving as a Venture Fellow at Scale Asia Ventures (SAV) since March 2024 and a Staff Applied Research Scientist at Meta since July 2021, Annie’s expertise includes knowledge-grounded and entity-centric language understanding, as well as natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI systems. Prior experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon focusing on Alexa AI, a Data Scientist at Welltok, Inc. predicting health risks, and a Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University developing learning models. Annie holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, a Master of Science in Statistics and Applied Probability, and a minor in Mathematics, all from UC Santa Barbara.
