Phuong Dang's work experience begins with their role as a Phlebotomy Externship at San Mateo Medical Center in 2018. Phuong then worked as a Lab Assistant at San Jose State University from January 2018 to May 2018, where they gained experience in various bacteriology techniques and DNA extraction. Following this, Phuong worked as a Diagnostic Technician at Roche from July 2018 to October 2019. In 2019, they joined Applied Materials as a Processing Technician and worked there until January 2020. Phuong then became a QC Physical Chemistry Scientist at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, where they worked from January 2020 to November 2020. Phuong also worked as a Research Associate and an Associate Researcher at MedGenome US Research Services from November 2020 to September 2021. Currently, Phuong is a Scientist at Scale Biosciences, starting in April 2023.
Phuong Dang began their education at De Anza College in 2013, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General in 2015. Phuong then went on to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology at San Jose State University from 2015 to 2018. In 2017 to 2018, Phuong also obtained a Certificate in Phlebotomy Technician/Phlebotomist/ CPT1 from Bay Area Medical Academy. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering at San Jose State University from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, in May 2018, Phuong obtained the certification of Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPhT 1) from the California Department of Public Health.
