Ruut Demeo

Ruut DeMeo is an accomplished cultural sensitivity writer, proofreader, and editor currently working at Kevin Anderson & Associates since November 2022. Additionally, Ruut serves as the President of the Baltimore Chapter of the Finlandia Foundation National, which focuses on activities and outreach for the Finnish-American community. Ruut's educational role includes being a Department Chair at Baltimore County Public Schools, overseeing the English Language Arts department, and teaching English at the Institute of Reading Development and as a tutor for Varsity Tutors. Ruut is also an author of the illustrated novel "Addie of Wellfleet," set to release in June 2021, and works as a Creative Writing Instructor with the Maryland Writers' Association. Ruut holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University-Los Angeles and a BFA in Creative Writing from Goucher College, among other educational qualifications.
