Yuto Shinagawa

Yuto Shinagawa is a Design Engineer at Scaled Composites, LLC since September 2022, with a robust background in engineering management and aerospace systems. Previously, Yuto served as Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer at Symbio Robotics, where production-grade Python software was developed for industrial robot arms used by major automotive manufacturers like Ford, Nissan, and Toyota. Prior experience at Northrop Grumman Corporation included managing an engineering team focused on aircraft flight control and avionics, alongside contributions as a GNC Engineer where Yuto developed flight control laws and conducted numerous flight tests on notable UAV projects. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Yuto has engaged in various side projects promoting aeronautics education through competitions and mentorship, alongside freelance work interpreting for Japanese helicopter mechanics.
