Yong Peng

Yong is a software professional with over 15 years of experience developing and leading complex software development projects. Since January 2015, Yong has served as VP of Software Development for ScaleFlux responsible for all layers of software design and development.

Prior to ScaleFlux, he was Sr. Software manager at SanDisk Cooperation Engineering where he lead the software team on system and application development of MLC/TLC NAND for the company’s most profitable flash products. Previous to SanDisk, Yong was a key software contributor at SandForce Inc., where he focused on the FTL design, performance tuning, as well as different flash media, and boot up on the company’s flagship SSD products. SandForce delivers the industry's first 100K IOPS SATA SSD. Yong was also a Sr. Software manager at Marvel Cooperation where he performed software system development on SCSI, and SATA interface for storage devices. He is an expert on algorithm acceleration, and implementation of algorithms on multi-core processors, and other programmable platforms. Yong holds an MS and BS degree in EE from the Tsinghua University of China.
