Sangita Pillay

Sangita Pillay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sangita started their career in 2006 as a Technical Support Engineer at vCustomer. Sangita then worked as a Work Study Student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they managed patient records and appointments for the cardiology and pacemaker office. In 2009, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, focusing on Natural Language Processing technologies and machine learning algorithms. Sangita was responsible for automating the process of classifying and predicting anonymous authors of web forum posts. In 2012, they joined McLeod Software as a Software Developer, customizing trucking software for clients and resolving software problems. Currently, they work at Scan-Optics as a Developer (Telecommuting), where they develop tax-processing applications, converts paper documents into digital information, and maintains database information and stored procedures for state governments.
