Fredrik Wirdenius

Fredrik Wirdenius is a business executive who has worked in the construction and real estate industries in Sweden for over thirty years. Fredrik is currently a board member at Scandic Hotels.

Wirdenius began their career in 1986 as a project manager at Meta Projektplanering AB. In 1988, they joined Skanska Fastigheter Stockholm AB as an asset manager. Fredrik was promoted to chief executive officer and vd in 1996, a position they held for four years before moving to Vasakronan in 2001.

At Vasakronan, Wirdenius served as business unit president from 2001 to 2006. Fredrik then spent five years as a member of the board at RICS Sweden before returning to Skanska in 2011 as business unit president. Fredrik held this position until 2017, when they joined the board of Scandic Hotels.

Fredrik Wirdenius has a masters from insead and a degree from kth global development hub.
