Mette Valentin

Mette Valentin has extensive experience in the legal and public affairs sector. Mette has been with Scandinavian Tobacco Group A/S since 2019, serving as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal, Public & Regulatory Affairs. Prior to this, they held various senior roles within the company from 2008 to 2019, including Senior Vice President of Legal and Public Affairs and Senior Vice President of Legal & Communication. Before joining Scandinavian Tobacco Group, Mette worked at Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni A/S (now Scandinavian Tobacco Group) from 1995 to 2008, holding the position of Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs. Mette also worked at Kromann Reumert from 1986 to 1995 as an Advokat/Associate.

Mette Valentin has a diverse education history. Mette obtained an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from Harvard Law School in 1990, following their completion of the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at the same institution in 1988. Prior to their time at Harvard, they earned a Cand.jur. / Master of Laws degree from the University of Copenhagen from 1981 to 1986. Mette Valentin's education journey began with an A.A. degree from Stephens College in 1981, and they completed their secondary education with a Studentereksamen from Sct. Knuds Gymnasium in 1980, focusing on languages.
