Jakob D. de la Cour

Jakob D. de la Cour has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jakob worked at Scandlines as the Head of Group HR and Senior Vice President starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Group HR and Vice President at TORM A/S from 2016 to 2022.

From 2013 to 2016, Jakob worked at Huawei Technologies Denmark, first as the Chief of Staff and Deputy General Manager, and later as the Head of Human Resources. Before joining Huawei, Jakob worked at TDC Consumer, TDC A/S from 1996 to 2012. Jakob held various roles during this period, including Head of Human Resources and Vice President. In these positions, they were responsible for establishing new HR departments, implementing HR practices and initiatives, and partnering with management and market functions for performance management, recruitment, and employee satisfaction enhancement. Jakob also played a key role in M&A integrations and managing organizational changes.

In addition to their roles at TDC Consumer, Jakob also served as the Head of Human Resources at TDC Mobile Nordic and the Head of Group Company Secretariat at TDC Group. Jakob had responsibilities such as linking HR to business strategy, advising the board on various matters, and operating in different foreign ownership structures.

Before their career in the telecommunications industry, Jakob worked as an attorney-at-law at Bech-Bruun from 1990 to 1996, where they advised clients on commercial and contractual aspects, intellectual property rights, and legal proceedings.
