Pontus Johansson

Pontus Johansson is an experienced engineer specializing in charging and thermal management, currently serving as Assignment Manager at Scania Group since March 2019. With a strong background in development and project leadership, Pontus has held several roles at Scania, including Development Engineer for Valve Systems and Senior Engineer for Turbochargers and Gas Exchange Systems, where responsibilities included leading the development of gas exchange systems for future combustion engines and managing cross-functional teams to address field quality issues. Prior to joining Scania, Pontus worked at GM for a decade in various positions, including Design Responsible Engineer and Team Leader Design, focusing on the development and analysis of turbo systems. Pontus holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology and has also studied at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
