Tommy Kan

Tommy Kan currently serves as the Manager of the Materials Laboratory and Acting Manager of R&D Coordination within the Industrial Operations Asia at Scania CV AB, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this, Tommy Kan accumulated significant experience at SSAB from September 2013 to January 2023, where roles included Acting Manager of the Engineering department in Metallurgy and Specialist in Wear Technology. Tommy Kan's early career includes a master thesis at GKN Aerospace focusing on the weldability of a cast Ni-base superalloy, along with minor field studies on Li-ion batteries at Beijing University of Technology. Additionally, teaching and assisting roles in Materials Science and Chemistry were undertaken at KTH. Tommy Kan holds a Master's degree in Materials Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, attained between 2008 and 2013.
