Pål Helsing

Pål Helsing is currently the EVP Solutions at Scatec Solar. Before that, they were the President and EVP of Kongsberg Oil & Gas from November 2009 to August 2015. Pål was also responsible for the development of a new growth area within the Kongsberg Group which increased revenue from NOK 500 mill to 1.2 bill over a 4 year period. In addition, they completed a major restructure and downscaling of the business following the major slow-down in the Oil and Gas market. Pål was also a member of the Kongsberg Group Corporate Management and Chairman of board of international subsidiaries.

From March 2006 to November 2009, Pål was the Senior Vice President for Strategy and Technology within corporate management reporting directly to group President and CEO of Aker Solutions. Their responsibilities included developing the group strategic direction and the technologies required to achieve the strategic goals. Pål was also a member of group Executive Management Team and Chairman of the INTSOK board (Industry association funded to enhance export of Norwegian goods and services within Oil and Gas).

Pål Helsing has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a degree in Business Economics from BI Norwegian Business School. Pål also has a degree in Civil Engineering from Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus.
