Amani Bin Shikhan is a music- and culture-focused writer (The FADER, Noisey, Red Bull, et cetera), researcher (Netflix's Hip-Hop Evolution), and filmmaker (where now?). She's presented work in a variety of galleries and arts spaces. In all of her roles, Bin Shikhan meditates on what creative expression reveals and conceals about history, geography, and connectivity within and across her home of Toronto, as well as (but not limited to) other pockets of the broader Black diaspora. In other words: she's out here trying her best.
