As Vice President of the Blue Mountains Accommodation and Tourism Association and Managing Director of Scenic World Blue Mountains, Hammon oversees one of Australia's most visited tourist attractions. Additional leadership positions include Joint Managing Director at Standards Australia and former Director at Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise. Hammon has served on the Board of the Australian Leisure and Recreation Association and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNSW and a Company Directors Course credential from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Scenic World is Australia's most visited privately-owned tourism attraction, with over one million visitors annually. Set within the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, the company is a third generation family business. Established in 1945 when Harry Hammon converted the abandoned Katoomba Colliery into the Scenic Railway, it continues to be owned and operated by the same family. Scenic World offers four attractions including: Scenic Railway - the world's steepest train Scenic Skyway - highest cablecar in Australia Scenic Cableway - steepest and largest cablecar in Australia Scenic Walkway - longest elevated boardwalk in the Southern Hemisphere Scenic World is now managed by Anthea Hammon and is one of the largest employers in the Blue Mountains, employing over 160 local residents.
