Jim MacLean

Dr. Jim MacLean is the current Chief Veterinarian at Scenthound, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to joining Scenthound, Dr. MacLean was the owner and doctor of Shirlington Animal Hospital from July 2014 to January 2020. Jim also served as a principal owner of multiple veterinary hospitals from October 2012 to January 2020. Dr. MacLean began their career in May 2008 as a doctor at Pet Medical Center, where they worked for 12 years before joining Shirlington Animal Hospital.

Jim MacLean's educational career includes completing an MBA at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, as well as a DVM at Virginia Tech. Jim also has a degree in biology from Virginia Tech, and another in biology from Old Dominion University.
