Richard Foster

Richard Foster has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Richard started their career in 2007 at the South Carolina Hospital Association, where they held the position of SVP, Quality and Patient Safety. In 2017, they joined the Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina as the Executive Director. Richard continues to hold this role presently.

Richard Foster completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies at Clemson University from 1972 to 1976. Richard then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the Medical University of South Carolina from 1976 to 1980. Following this, they completed a Family Medicine Residency at Self Regional Healthcare from 1980 to 1983.
