Charlotte Watson

Charlotte Watson is an experienced legal professional with a focus on media law and defamation. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Adviser and Legal Director at Schillings since March 2015, Charlotte also holds the position of Governor at the Hanford School Charitable Trust. Prior to these roles, Charlotte was self-employed from July 2007 to March 2015, providing media law consultancy for major publications including the Metro, Daily Mail, and Evening Standard. Earlier in Charlotte's career, key positions included Marketing Manager at Hunters Solicitors and Partner in the defamation department at Carter-Ruck. Charlotte holds a Master’s Degree and M.A. (Hons) from The University of Edinburgh, as well as a strong foundational education from Benenden School.
