Valerio Villa

Valerio Villa has extensive work experience in the elevator industry, primarily with the Schindler Group. Valerio started their career with Schindler in 2008 as an R&D Project Manager. Valerio then worked as an R&D Electrical Product Manager at Schindler Elevator Corporation before joining Schindler Group as an R&D Electrical Product Manager in 2011. Valerio also held the position of VP Global Product Manager Electrical System at Schindler Management AG from 2015 to 2018. Valerio then became the VP Chief Engineer at Schindler elevators ltd in 2019. Currently, Valerio serves as the VP Global Product Owner Smart Controls at Schindler Group since 2023. Prior to their tenure at Schindler, Valerio worked as an R&D Developer at Siemens Schweiz AG from 2001 to 2002 and as a Researcher at ABB Corporate Research from 1997 to 2001. Valerio also worked briefly as a Researcher at Siemens from 2000 to 2002 and as an R&D Employee at ABB from 1997 to 2000. Valerio's work experience demonstrates their expertise in electrical system development, project management, and leadership in the elevator industry.

Valerio Villa obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Automation from Politecnico di Milano, which they attended from 1991 to 1996. Valerio also received a second M.Sc. in industrial computer science from the same institution during the same time period. Additionally, Valerio Villa obtained a certification as a Functional Safety Engineer from TÜV Rheinland Group in February 2023.
