Ken Knowlton

Ken Knowlton is the Manager of Delivery for the Virtual Institutes of Science where he works closely with the Program Science Leads on program implementation, grantee support, process improvement, and grants management.

Prior to Schmidt Futures, Ken was the Knowledge and Grants Manager at the Carroll and Milton Petrie Foundation where he built the foundation’s grants database and online application, including a separate universal application and program management system for a student emergency funding program active across 22 CUNY schools. He also worked at the JPMorgan Chase Foundation as a Grants Manager overseeing the full grant lifecycle including due diligence, agreement negotiation, compliance, and closeout for grant portfolios on the East Coast, Midwest, Canada, and the National Neighborhood Revitalization program.

Ken holds a Masters in Politics and Government in the European Union from the London School of Economics with a B.A. in Political Science from Goucher College.
