Dhaval Adjodah is currently a Fellow at Schmidt Sciences, managing large portfolio investments in AI+X research and applications since September 2022. Previously, Dhaval served as a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2019 to September 2022, focusing on reinforcement learning and computational social science. As a researcher at the Center of Complex Interventions, Dhaval investigated the impact of face masks on health outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborated with the city of Chelsea, MA to develop a policy simulator for assessing COVID-19 policies. Dhaval co-founded the COVID-19 observatory while consulting for the World Bank and has held positions at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, the MIT Media Lab, Harvard University, IBM, Oliver Wyman Financial Services, and athenahealth. Dhaval holds a PhD in Reinforcement Learning and Computational Social Science, as well as a Master of Science in Technology and Policy, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
