Evelyn Tickle

Evelyn Tickle is an experienced professional in sustainable architecture and environmental innovation, currently serving as a Grant Recipient for NSF SBIR Funding since February 2024. As the CEO, Inventor, and Founder of Grow Oyster Reefs, LLC since January 2015, Evelyn leads initiatives focused on sustainable products and services for oyster reef development using a proprietary concrete mix. Additional roles include Grant Recipient at Schmidt Marine Technology Partners, where a project is underway to deploy Grow Reef Tiles to enhance carbon and nitrogen burial while providing shoreline protection, and previous Grant Recipient at RISE Resilience Innovations. Evelyn's academic experience includes serving as an Area Head at James Madison University and holding visiting professor positions at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan. With a master's degree in Architecture from SCI-Arc and a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture from Auburn University, Evelyn has a robust foundation in design and innovation.
