Gianluca Merola

Gianluca Merola is a seasoned business development leader currently serving as the Global Leader for Business Development in Industrial Automation at Schneider Electric since February 2024. Previously, Gianluca held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Naturbeads, where responsibilities included developing the business model and driving strategic negotiations. Additionally, Gianluca contributed as a Business Advisor to support sustainability initiatives focused on mitigating ocean micro-plastics pollution. At Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, Gianluca worked for over a decade in various roles, including Area Vice President, Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific and China, and Global Sales Manager, where significant revenue growth was achieved. Earlier career experiences include roles at Nalco Water and Nalco/Exxon Chemical Company, alongside a foundational position as a stagiaire at Air Liquide. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics and Corporate Management from IFP School and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
