Prasad Rao

Prasad Rao has over three decades of experience in the electrical and electronics engineering field, specializing in energy storage and UPS development. At Schneider Electric from April 2013 to December 2022, Prasad served as Director of the Energy Storage Line of Business and Senior General Manager, leading teams in power electronics and control systems to innovate products such as energy storage inverters and EV chargers for markets in North America, Western Europe, and Australia. Prior to Schneider Electric, Prasad worked at American Power Conversion as a Staff Electrical Design Engineer, overseeing UPS development projects and ensuring high-quality product delivery. Previous roles include Senior Project Engineer at Argus Technologies, focusing on rectifier design, and Executive Engineer at Indian Telephone Industries, where expertise was gained in switch mode rectifiers and DC converters. Prasad holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University.
