Teresa Chu

Teresa Chu has a diverse range of work experience. In 2023, they were a UCI Chapter Founding Leadership Team and VP of Finance & Operations at Scholars of Finance. Teresa also participated in the 2023 Virtual Insight Series at Goldman Sachs.

Prior to this, Teresa was a Student Assistant of Project Management Office at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business starting in 2022. Teresa also served as a Student Assistant of Alumni Experience Center during that time.

In 2022, they were the Co-president of the Financial Literacy Association and later became the Director of External Relations. Teresa also interned as an Equity Research Intern at Taishin Financial Holdings and was a Resident Advisor at the UCI Center for Investment and Wealth Management (CIWM).

In 2021, Teresa was involved with the UCI International Center as an IPG Mentor and IPG Scholar Committee Member. Teresa also participated as an IPG Scholar. Additionally, they were a Mentee at the Management Information Student Society (MAISS) and a Company Relations Intern at the Undergraduate Business Association.

Teresa has also been a part of various professional development programs, including the 2023 PIMCO Prep Participant at PIMCO and the Professional Development Mentee program at the Undergraduate Business Association.

Teresa Chu attended Kang Chiao Bilingual School from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained their high school diploma. Teresa then enrolled at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business in 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

In terms of additional certifications, Teresa completed various courses on LinkedIn. In December 2022, they obtained certifications in "Algorithmic Trading and Finance Models with Python, R, and Stata Essential Training," "Excel for Corporate Finance Professionals," "Excel: Economic Analysis and Data Analytics," "Excel: Management Accounting," "Financial Forecasting with Big Data," "Financial Modeling Foundations," and "Corporate Financial Statement Analysis." Teresa also participated in the Career.edYOU Academy program at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in October 2022.

Before their university studies, Teresa attended the Finance Leadership Camp at National Taiwan University in July 2020. Teresa also participated in the Applied Economics Program at National Chiao Tung University in February 2020 and the Economics Camp at National Cheng Kung University in February 2019.
