Alexis Allen

Alexis Allen is an experienced professional in the fields of publishing, film, and education. Currently serving as the Assistant Category Manager at Scholastic since November 2021, Alexis engages with external vendors to acquire multimedia products and collaborates with internal teams to develop innovative project ideas. Prior experience includes roles at the Austin Film Festival, where responsibilities ranged from judging scripts to teaching virtual filmmaking, as well as program management at the Coronado Island Film Festival, where Alexis founded the Student Screener Program and led digital transitions. Alexis holds a Master of Science in Publishing from New York University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Television Writing & Production from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
