Maren Lee

Maren Lee has a diverse work experience in various educational and childcare settings. In 2010, they started their career as a Camp Director at Glenview Park District and held this role until 2012. Maren then moved on to Concord High School, where they worked as a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they joined Gertrude B Neilsen Child Care and Learning Center as an Assistant Teacher from 2014 to 2015. Their most recent position was at School City of East Chicago, where they worked from 2015 to the present. Maren started as a Career and Technical Education Teacher and was later promoted to Career and Technical Education Department Chair in 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Career and Technical Education/Adult Education Director.

Maren Lee pursued their education at Purdue University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics Teacher Education from 2008 to 2012. Later, in 2018, they returned to Purdue University to complete their Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which they accomplished in 2021. Seeking to enhance their qualifications, Maren then enrolled at Lamar University in 2021 to pursue a Principal Certification, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
