Sonya Ganther Phr

Sonya Ganther, PHR, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in human resources. Sonya is currently the Director of Human Resources at the School District of Onalaska. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at Viterbo University from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they developed training programs, provided guidance to supervisors, and ensured compliance with federal and state laws. Before that, Sonya worked as the Director of Administrative Services at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Winona from 2001 to 2011. Here, they managed personnel functions, ensured compliance with HIPAA requirements, and facilitated internal training. Sonya also has experience working as the Director of Human Resources at CSS Search & Recruiting, where they managed day-to-day office procedures, conducted business development, and performed marketing activities.

Sonya Ganther, PHR, SHRM-CP has a strong educational background in human resources management and business. Sonya obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, which they completed between 1995 and 1999. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, which they expect to complete between 2021 and 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sonya has also acquired professional certifications to enhance their expertise. Sonya obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in June 2009 and the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in November 2014. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying current with industry standards and best practices in HR management.
