Daria Silvestro

Daria Silvestro serves as the Director of Teaching & Learning at The School District of Philadelphia since August 2018, where key responsibilities include leading a team of 60 instructional coaches to enhance teacher proficiency and student learning outcomes, implementing data-driven leadership development, and coordinating a significant professional development program that increased participation from 79% to 90%. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Teach For America, notably as the Director of Alumni Teacher Support and Development, where Daria set the vision for supporting 400 alumni teachers and initiated impactful DEI programming. Daria's academic qualifications include a Master of School Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University and a Master's degree in Adult and Continuing Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey.
