Tim McKinney, MSW LSW, currently serves as the LGBTQIA+ Student Supports Manager at The School District of Philadelphia since February 2025, a newly established role focused on enhancing the experiences of LGBTQIA+ students. Prior to this position, Tim held various roles at Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence from March 2020 to February 2025, including LGBTQ+ Resource and Program Director and Manager. Tim's experience also includes working as an Outpatient Therapist at Intercultural Family Services, Inc. from October 2018 to March 2020, and as a Social Work Supervisor and Child Advocate Social Worker at the Support Center for Child Advocates from June 2014 to March 2020. Earlier career experience includes a Social Work Intern position at Philadelphia FIGHT and several roles at The MENTOR Network and PATH Inc. Tim McKinney earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Temple University Graduate School and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Theater from Temple University.
