Leonard Thompson has over 20 years of experience in education, currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at the School District of Springfield Township since August 2006, where the focus includes Social Studies and English. Additionally, Leonard holds the position of Voices of Excellence Advisor, dedicated to promoting excellence among minority students in the district. Prior to this role, Leonard worked as a Special Education Teacher at Elkin Elementary School in Philadelphia from October 2000 to June 2006. Leonard's early career includes service in the United States Air Force from March 1992 to January 1999. Leonard earned a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Widener University (2000-2004) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Sexuality from the University of Central Oklahoma (1997-1999).
